Growth Mindset, Learn from other students


I really enjoyed the advice, "Say yes." I think that is some of the best advice to give to people especially when starting a new part of their lives. Say yes to things you typically would say no to. Get out of your comfort zone because that's where the fun begins. As I start my career in a city I have never been, I am going to remember this.

Try to Say YES!

Week 2 Story: Three Roses

Three Roses There once was a caring mother with three daughters. The family was running low on supplies so the mother planned a trip to the market. Before she left the mother asked her daughters what they wanted from the market. The two eldest girls supplied a long list of wants. The youngest, however, just wanted three Roses. The family lived deep in the woods so the trip would take two days time. After collecting all the supplies that were needed the mother started to head back home. With such a heavy load, the mother needed a rest. It was getting dark and she could hear the animals coming out to search for food under the moon. She saw an old looking palace and decided to hurry there for refuge for the night. The mother had never seen this palace but it seemed extremely old. The only thing that was in good condition was the rose garden to the side of the palace. She had already bought her daughter the three roses but these were so much more beautiful.
