Growth Mindset, Learn from other students

I really enjoyed the advice, "Say yes." I think that is some of the best advice to give to people especially when starting a new part of their lives. Say yes to things you typically would say no to. Get out of your comfort zone because that's where the fun begins. As I start my career in a city I have never been, I am going to remember this. Try to Say YES! Web Source

Growth Mindset: Genius

What is Genius? I thoroughly enjoyed this comic. I think people often forget that there is no standard cookie cutter genius. You don't have to be a child prodigy or have the highest IQ to be a genius. I think you have to work hard and take note of the little things that will add up. You can't just be smart and be a genius. Like this comic points out, there is so much more to what makes a genius or a genius idea for that matter. The Comic from the Growth Mindset Blog Web Source

Growth Mindset: Cool Katz

I chose this cat photo because the word curiosity has been at the forefront of my mind. For the past few weeks I have been striving to be a "Curious Collaborator". When I saw this photo I thought it was just puurfect.  Blog Link When I was little, my brother used to call me a scaredy cat because I would always have to hype myself up to go into the garage. My dad used to say to me this exact quote it always helped me feel better.  Blog Link

Growth Mindset: Motto

During election season I hear, "Those who show up make the decisions," a lot. I have always loved this quote. I'm in advertising and the more I think about it this quote the more I think it is important to show up to create change, not so much always make the decisions. When I want to be lazy and not lead my group or skip an agency meeting, I tell myself, "Those who show up create change."

"We can change the future, not the past" "Cheers to mistakes" The two quotes I pulled from other students really go hand in hand. Sometimes I have the tendency of playing my past mistakes over and over in my head. Both of these quotes remind me that my mistakes help me change my future and move forward. After reading these quotes, I think this one helps to combine them into the right mindset for myself.  Web link here .

Learning From Other Students After watching the videos and looking at possible Growth Mindset Challenges, I am most looking forward to learning from other students. I think our peers are one of the greatest tools in our learning toolbox. I think in this type of class we can get inspired by other students and think of things in a way we typically wouldn't. So this semester I am setting the goal to learn from my peers in and out of this class.  From John Spencer
